RE: Offer of Employment

Dear Greg:

${company_s} is pleased to offer you the opportunity to join ${us}. You are being offered a position as Sr. Systems Engineer reporting to $manager. If you decide to join us, your annual base pay will be ($current+9000) less applicable taxes and withholdings. You will be paid semimonthly in accordance with the Company’s normal payroll procedure. You will be located at the Redwood City facility. ${company_s} may change your position, compensation, duties and work location from time to time, as it deems appropriate.

Subject to the approval of the Company’s Board of Directors, you will be granted an option to purchase ${number} shares of the Company’s Common Stock, at an exercise price equal to the fair market value of the Common Stock on the date the Board grants your stock option or on your first date of employment with the Company, whichever is later. Your option will be subject to all of the terms, conditions and restrictions of the Company’s 2006 Stock Plan and the execution of a stock option agreement pursuant to such plan.

You will receive hire in bonus of ${ka-ching} less applicable withholding after 90 days of employment. If you terminate prior to one (1) year of employment you will be responsible for reimbursing the company a prorated portion of the bonus.

    I think they left off a section:

    In addition, ${ezray} will receive a referral bonus of ${cha-ching} after you have completed 90 days of employment. Because of this, as well as the fact that you will be substantially alleviating his workload, he will be buying you a nice fat dinner from the eating establishment of your choice upon acceptance of this offer.

      Thanks for the reference! I am 99% sure I will sign the offer tomorrow… just need one more night to sleep on it.

      I will let you buy me dinner but I expect to be allowed to return the favor.

      In other news, I will want to push my start date a little… probably Monday 3/5.
