No pecans?
Just curious, I missed any postings explaining WHY the sudden mission to post a mission statement.
I like yours though. Reminds me of stuff I did in LGAT’s (Which I wish I was doing now)
Re: No pecans?
I have been reading this book called “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”. It is a pretty good resource… I think it says a lot of common-sense things that I mostly already knew, but it puts them together in a way that makes sense.
After reading the first half of the book I wanted to give myself some time to digest it.. I think the entries where I mentioned the book and my thoughts are back a little ways, like a month or two.
Anyway, since then I feel like I am organizing my time better. I already had a pretty good idea of what things are important to me, but setting it out in writing has helped to remind me to spend time on my stated priorities, and allows me to reduce time spent on non-priorities without agonizing about it or feeling guilty. The actual activities I do are 95% the same, but I feel more in control.
Re: No pecans?
I think that is absolutely wonderful. Our extended family draws from some of the 7 Habits philosophy and from LGAT’s for what we do collectively, it has helped heal a lot of serious damage from divorce and petty BS.
How can we support you in this?
Re: No pecans?
Interestingly, though the material is compelling, and I’m getting a lot of mileage out of it, the actual change to my life so far has been small and hardly noticeable. I think that’s because my life isn’t really that stressful in the current era and some of the material has been shown to me in other forms.
What is LGAT?
Talk to you later
